Pros:Great location. Some minor updates. Free parking. Low price for a beachfront motel.
Cons:An aging property that isn’t terribly well maintained, but it’s inexpensive enough to overlook a lot. It definitely isn’t the Hilton, but it costs a third. The outdoor amenities are lacking but the pool was clean.

9.1 Wonderful
Pros:The staff was absolutely wonderful - I got in way later than expected and still had no trouble accessing my room even though the office was technically closed when I arrived. I also thought the location was pretty phenomenal. It was near enough to Daytona Beach that I could easily drive back and forth between the hotel and the racetrack during the day if I needed to, but it wasn't so close that I had to fight the traffic, extra people, or general chaos. And it was right on the beach which always makes me happy. The room also had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee machine. I am a HUGE fan of that.
Cons:The rooms were very clean, but a little run down. It wasn't bad and I didn't really mind, but I know that some people can be picky about things like that. Parking can be a little tricky because the lot is small, but there was an option for overflow parking across the street that was perfectly acceptable if you didn't mind a tiny bit of extra walking.

Pros:The ocean, pet friendly, and private.
Cons:The staff was not very friendly other then the night manager. The other lady during the day was crazy over the top crazy. and the beds were so squeaky you moved it woke you up.

5.7 Fair
Pros:The location is great and right on the water. What has been updated (bathrooms, some floor and exterior) is very nice. It is clean - we accidently opened the a/c filters trying to turn it down and they were clean. Moved the nightstands looking for outlets and it was clean. The rooms are large.
Cons:Not child friendly in its current remodel. Some banisters are shaky and a toddler could easily climb from our 2nd floor hallway onto the roof. The banister near the pool is exetremly loose. The tile in the rooms is slick when wet (shower/pool/ocean). If you're kid is older or you constantly are attentive it's fine but I wouldn't want to keep an eye on two toddlers here. There was drywall, hammers, etc. with construction workers even on the weekend. There were only outlets in the bathroom and kitchen, none by the bed. The a/c was on the wall furthest from the bed with a table blocking most of the air. We let it cool down 5+ hours and called down to ask if they had a fan - they do not. You stand up and literally feel the 10+ degree difference near the ceiling. We think either the ceiling/rooftop isn't insulated or they really need a larger a/c or ceiling fan. The nonsmoking room had residual smoke odor and heavy air freshener scent. We don't have asthma or allergies so we managed. Kids and dogs were abundant and loud, we were on a corner with only 1 connecting room but we were awoken at midnight with toddlers screaming in the hall. Not the owner's fault but annoying. There is not sufficient parking, not even close. We had to park next door (another guest told us that's what the office told them, we weren't even told) or have 1 of us get out and signal for the other when it was safe to back out. We were in our compact sedan and barely made it work. Housekeeping never attempted to come by, there was no doorhanger but there was a prominent housekeep envelope in the room for tips.
