Hotel Beaumarchais

The location is good, close to the Metro and walkable to the town centre and the staff was nice and service minded

The room was pretty weird, I had a junior suite, sitting room with orange walls, a red fake leather sofa a coffe table and a shelf supposed to be a desk (hard to use even a laptop there), a useless hallway leading to the bedroom where you hit your head on the high wall mounted small old TV. The bathroom was very very small and the shower cubicle also very small. The wash basin was an orange plastic round something out of a bargain store. The room on the 1st floor overlooked a quiet courtyard (except some people used the courtyard for smoking and thus all their conversations carried through. You could pull heave red velvet curtains to block some of the sound and also give you some privacy from the hotel rooms 5 meters across the courtyard.

The location suited us because we know and like the area. Friendly and very helpful staff.

Compared to a few years ago, the hotel has deteriorated. It needs some minor investment (painting etc).
