Good room in middle of Paris, nice bed and pillows
Toiletries weren't replenished during 5 day stay. Quite expensive, compared to London.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Very near the metro and in the heart of the Marais. Most of the front desk staff were very helpful and friendly
Upon check-in the staff at the front desk were aloof, bordering on rude and one woman was particularly unengaged and rude.
The central location, closeness to the subway system and the pleasant view from the window.
Delightful, friendly and helpful service from the concierge Loic. Good English spoken. Comfortable clean room. Public sitting area/reception was limited because of lace of space and because weather was bad and we could not sit in the pretty courtyard. However we were happy to return to our cosy room after a long day of sightseeing. Excellent for a short city break and good location for sightseeing in Paris and close to a metro station.
Excellent location. Comfortable rooms. Very nice breakfast. Very helpful staff.
We had several problems with our room (safe not working, heating not working, toilet flush broke down while we were there). The staff available were as helpful as they could be and did their very best. I think we were just particularly unlucky anbd I have no reason to believe that other guests had similar problems. To compensate for all our problems we were offered free breakfast each morning and also got a half bottle of champagne. The most senior staff available most of the time was a receptionist and there was no manager on site.
Very good position next to bars, brasseries and metro
Rooms are very nice but a bit small
the courtesey and the comfort, quietness
great location, very helpful staff, comfortable, quiet room
This hotel is very centralized near Notre Dame and the Hotel De Ville Metro. Thomas, the receptionist.
I'm rating this briefly b/c I am a critic. My full review will be on another website and popular magazine. First, the room was filthy and tiny. Not worth the money. There were blood stains on the curtains. The chairs in the room had more stains than I could count, looking as if they have never been cleaned. The toilet ran all day and all night requiring maintenance. The fixture in the kitchenette was loose and after addressing it with management nothing was done. The vent in the bathroom had inadequate ventilation and had dirt fuzz hanging off of it. I had to clean it myself. It looked as if it had never been cleaned. The bathtub leaked from both sides when taking a shower requiring us to use half of the towels in the bathroom for each shower so we wouldn’t slip on the floor. The hotel cleaning staff never did an adequate job cleaning the bathroom and after discussing it with Thomas the receptionist, he explained that they were unreliable and often did not show up to work. Despite his excuses he was very nice and cordial. The mini-bar was in a cabinet with no vent creating a heat source from under the kitchenette. This made the room even hotter because the air conditioning did not work for our entire stay. The rude Chilean woman receptionist almost scolded me and my wife telling us not to touch the thermostat in the room. I heard other guest complaining about this issue also. It registered a constant 29 Celsius, or 85 Fahrenheit. Lastly, the wireless internet connection did not work. It required a cable from hotel management. The best thing about our stay at this hotel was the location and the service received by Thomas, though after finding out I was a critic he explained to me that there were much bugger and nicer rooms and offered to let me see them. I declined. We should have received a nicer room if it was available. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. It barely makes 3 in my book.
The room was very spacious, for a hotel in the centre of paris. It is really idealy located in the heart of the centre 30 meters away from the metro, in the lovely Marais area. We got a free upgrade to a superior room because we stayed there for 5 days, which was great. Staff was nice and spoke english (as well as french) really well. Another great thing was the rooms are all overlooking an atrium, so you do not hear any street noise. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in paris but this was by far the best one ! I would recommend this hotel to anyone ! PS we didn't have breakfast in the hotel, so i don't know how that was.
Excellent location, excellent staff. Very comfortable room.
Only slight niggles - I wasn't sure how the air conditioning worked (the room was a little warm at night) and the toilet was sometimes a little eccentric. To be fair, however, the concierge did offer to have a look at the toilet if we wanted and, again, I could have asked about the air conditioning. On the whole, we were delighted with the hotel and will definitely stay again and recommend it to others.
