Our air conditioning did not work the first night and we were promptly moved to another room, a bit of an upgrade, too.
The pillows were very hard.

A great base for exploring the Umbria region of Italy, the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful, the breakfast's were very good. The hotel is rural but near all the road networks, just off the Ponte Veloceppi exit of the E45 with easy access to Perugia. We were in Perugia for the jazz festival and would certainly stay at the Hotel Vega again.
We did'nt like the pool rules but we think maybe the rules were made by the Umbrian authoroties rather than the hotel.

the swimming pool was not filled at the agreed time on june 1st.They filled it as soon as possible - even on a sunday- but we missed it during 3 days with beautiful weather and could only use it the lastr day of our stay.

We used the hotel as a centre for exploring Umbria and it worked well. The staff were a delight and the evening meals were excellent value.
