La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Phoenix North

Too close to the road. Outdated old building street noise clearly audible inside the room. When I changed my reservation after 2 days stray with 24 hours notice I was still charged by Expedia for the full stay. All in all I would not recommend this hotel unless you want an overpriced 1 or 2 star hotel. Additionally. Based on this experience I will not use Expedia or kayak again

Not so clean

I checked in late at night after a long shift at work. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Landscaping was well maintained, but the outdoor stairwell to get to my room was dirty with several pieces of used gum stuck to the steps. My room was clean at first glance, but there was dried urine behind the toilet and some hair. The toilet itself was extra small and felt like it was built for a 5 year old. Honestly, I was so exhausted that I didn't even bother to complain. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The shower had poor water pressure but was plenty warm. Breakfast in the morning was generally unhealthy (breads, muffins, waffles) but they did have some fresh fruit and hard boiled eggs which was nice. Overall I probably wouldn't stay at this particular hotel again.
