My state room was large, comfortable, and impressive and had fantastic views over the lake/extensive grounds from dual aspect windows. Also, the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Location was great, good reception from staff.Good breakfast. Beautiful gardens, walks etc.
Bedroom rather tired, windows and carpets needed cleaning.

The food was nice.
The dining room was very gloomy and dark. My room had wallpaper falling off the walls and dirty marks on the wall. The room had been described as having a small double bed but was in fact two singles pushed together. It was up a tortuous set of stairs, not easy with dog.

Bedrooms small, dilapidated, rain penetration, noisy, staff unfriendly and inefficient - even allocated wrong room on arrival necessitating packing up again to move rooms two hours after arrival!
