Conca D'oro

Location not the best

The views are fantastic but that's because the hotel is way up the hill from the main town. The hotel is very nice. No complaints except maybe the breakfast could have been a bit more varied. Positano is fantastic. For me the best place in the area.

I see other reviewers are praising the location! For me it was not good. Apart from the 100 or so stairs you have to walk up it is probably almost a mile uphill from the main center before you reach the stairs.

Spectacular views. The "Terrace Rooms" are definitely worth the extra $. Beautiful restaurant. Outstanding breakfast with the option to add eggs/omlet for small charge. Very helpful staff. Parking available close by. Comfortable spacious rooms. All around great value.

120 steps from the street to the hotel desk. Not for those who have very limited mobility. (This is true for most of Positano). Porter will meet you at the parking area to bring your luggage.

This is my second stay at the Conca d'Oro, and I will return again and again. The views are spectacular, the breakfast is ample, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Many excellent restaurants and charming shops are within easy walking distance along the winding road to the beach. The Hotel Conca d'Oro is a lovely retreat with large terraces and incredible views of Positano and the glistening bay below.
