Some staff very rude and unwelcoming and unhelpful. The management have yet to sort my bill correctly one week later. Nothing particularly wrong with the hotel, it was clean and the staff were great, breakfast was good. The hotel is very dated and looks a little tired. I'm sure there has been no smoking inside the hotel for years, but there were cigarette burns on the moulded plastic bathroom unit and there was an ashtray that could hold five cigarettes fixed to the wall next to the toilet in my room. Cons (-) Late check in due to our request for all group rooms on same floor. Due to virus in their software lead to problems in opening room door with keys provided. So everytime bell boy was called to open doors. They compensated it on our request with executive lounge and Swimming pool and spa acess. So that was good from them. Pros (+) Staff was amazing! So friendly and helpful let us into room early (8am!) after a long flight overnight with children, so we were so thankful. Rooms were very clean and bottled water each day. Always kept the amenities (shampoo etc) filled up to overflowing. Great service!
Cons (-) Extra charge to use the pool. i have stayed in many hotels and have never heard of such a thing! We picked this hotel because it had a pool and we have kids so were very disappointed to find we had to pay for a spa package to use the facilities. They did not want saunas and plunge pools. Just a quick swim each day.
