From an American who speaks Czech
Fast internet, comfortable bed, air conditioning, great location near shops and the metro, great customer service, great value for the price, yummy and varied breakfast
Nothing- When I return to Prague, I will try to book this hotel again.
Basic and fine enough
The location and the cleanliness were good. We were easily connected to the main train station and other parts of town. If you get a good price, the hotel is fine, but it is not a special hotel experience in any way.
The rooms were dated, but not in an offensive way. The ventilator had no cover and looked very dingy. It was a typical 3* traditional hotel I would say that was adequate and priced for what it is, but unexciting.
The hotel is very well located, only a short distance from Metro station I.P.Pavlova. On my arrival I was greeted by the very charming and helpful receptionist, Eleana. From that point I really felt the lovely warm atmosphere that exists in Hotel Tyl.
Breakfast was OK, Location - close to metro, friendly staff. Would recommend for two people only (double)
We booked triple room, although our sone could stay for free if we booked double. I confirmed over emails big triple room and was promised that. When we arrived it was small double room with extra bed in it. They just don't have triples. Plus, we had problem with lock, so my bag with shoes and souvenirs disappeared ( I hope, it was only lock and visitors problem)
The hotel has perfect location - just a step from metro and within walking distance from main touristic attractions. It is very easy to get there from the airport. The staff is very helpful and polite. And of course - low season prices are very, very good.
Beacause of the "in the city center" location - the room was noisy. Also the room and bathroom was not perfect - everything seems to be "touched by time". Lack of all those small and helpful things that make your stay comfortable like mugs in the bathroom, sewing kit, pencil, free of charge mineral water. Air conditioning is operated manualy from the reception. The breakfast is abundant but a bit boring too. 4 stars for this hotel seem to be overated. The hotel deserves 3 stars - no more - and the low season prices are enough for such a level of comfort. If I had to pay a full price - I would be very disapointed.
Ideal location for seeing the city, good transport links, easy to get to and from airport using metro and bus.
No tea/coffee facilities in bedroom, the photo's on the hotel web site are misleading, the rooms look very big but in reality the rooms are very small with 2' 6'' twin beds. Booked triple room be aware this means a small Z-bed as the 3rd bed.
Quiet place, peaceful staff, convenient location near the centre on the city and the metro
this was a return visit to Hotel Tyl as we had enjoyed the whole experience before.it is out of centre,so quieter but within easy access to public transport&only a shotrt walk from main attractions
lack of tea coffee making facilities in room, but as we had stayed before we were prepared for this .taking our own travel kettle etc.
Everything was great, location, staff, breakfast and cleaniness.
The room was of 5 star quality. It was furnished beautifully. Location was also good whether you like walking or whether you prefer public transport.
The bed could have been a bit more comfortable. We didn't complain but it had springs poking out of it.
Clean and staff were very friendly and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble. Very handy for local amenities ie; trams, banks, metro and food.Only 5 mins walk to Wenslaslas Square and the hub of Prague. Hotel Very quiet at night.
The only - was the sink in room 204 (our room) was badly cracked but as we never filled the bowl up this was not a problem and the remote needed batteries but the night staff didn't know where they were kept. minor problems
Bright and clean throughout. Staff always pleasant and helpful.
A stay at Hotel Tyl places you in the heart of Prague, within a 15-minute walk of Wenceslas Square and Czech National Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
