Pros (+) Location to beach
Cons (-) ALL rooms have an ocean view, except X15 rooms. Unknowingly, I booked the one set of rooms that doesn't view the ocean. I've stayed here before and never knew there were non-ocean facing rooms, and the website didn't make that clear. We were there one night, and when asked to be moved, they wanted $80 more. It was already over-priced and not worth the value, in my opinion.

Pros (+) The views, rooms, and rooftop bar with jacuzzis are a plus. I enjoyed the modern room design and the check in process was seamless. Pool and beach are across from property and easily accessible via hotel! Location is less than 5 mins drive to shops and restaurants in the romantic zone (old town).
Cons (-) Wish I could stay longer!

Pros (+) The staff at Almar were wonderful. The rooms were comfortable, very clean and we had a great view of the beach. Having access to the Mantamar Beach Club was nice as we spent a lot of time at the pool. The hotel is welcoming to all but we really appreciated that Almar especially caters to LGBT couples.
Cons (-) There is still construction going on around the hotel which was a little noisy but it wasn't as intrusive as some people suggested. They will try to sell you on a timeshare breakfast but our rep was very respectful and didn't push us to attend.

Cons (-) The hotel is under construction and the noise started at 8:00am and went on all day long and into the evening till 9:00pm. We were moved from one very noisy room to another that was still noisy. It's a nice place with lots of potential but I'd wouldn't recommend staying there till they are completely finished with all their construction.

Cons (-) The constant construction particularly in the morning made it difficult to sleep in. Would have been nice to have been alerted about it before.
