Not a hotel if you are a Hilton type of customer, but we really enjoyed the quirky nature of the hotel and what it had to offer. Nice setting and very interesting hotel. Rooms were decent and bed was very comfortable. Great place to spend a night with the kids on the way through.
What they don't tell you
It was quiet
Wifi was only accessible in the lobby & not in the room also no a/c in the room. The restaurant can't cook a steak & the staff mentioned after that they get numerous complaints about how the steak is over cooked from customers
The setting was spectacular. The dinning was very nice. The people working were very nice. The courtyard as so beautiful. You offered many things to do such as helicopter, kayaking, walks by the lake.
We enjoyed the variety of activities to do at the hotel and the cafeteria.
NEVER GO THERE
The rooms were soooo smelly. The receptionists were not nice at all and didn't care about our requests and said you can cancel your reservation if you don't like it. The room didn't have fridge, hair fryer, microwave. We booked the room for four, the toiletries in the bathroom was hardly enough for one person, and in the room, there was only one tea bag and two coffee packs. Only a small number of rooms have a good view of the lake, the majority face the manmade garden with a small window. Don't be fooled by the picture, it is not worth the price. just take your picture from the highway that passes by and continue your way to much better accommodations with much better facilities and prices.
Seems old and tired need upgrade bathroom in poor shape , the food was below standard.Glad we only stayed one night . Will not stay there again
The onsite museum was very interesting and the back of the hotel totally different to what you expected from the front.
The evening meal we had was poor the food was cold and not very inspiring
The hotel was like a maze. Very quirky, dark rooms, not very inviting pool and no changing facilities at the pool.
Its a blessing to keep the life manual - Bible in all your rooms.very impressive view of the mountains from the hotel.
The coffee pot appears to be totally out of place in the washroom.
The hotle also is home to the Gost town which was an amzaing surprise! This attraction needs to be seen by everyone. Outstanding! The hotle offers half price admission for guests.
