Days Inn Roanoke Near I-81

Good location for someone traveling I-81 and needing a last minute place to wait out dangerous weather.

Check in took a very long time despite there only being one person in line; it appeared that desk staff were poorly trained to deal with the registration system. The shower was designed for midgets. The room air conditioner was loud, making sleep difficult. The faucet sprayed water up when opened fully. Significant outdoor lighting leaked into the room even with window shades fully in place.

Nothing hotel was nasty and hot my son had nose bleed because of heat I had to walk upstairs after just having had knee surgery day before to check rooms we did not stay the manager was nice though

Everything sinks were not clean had hair and dirt in two of the rooms one of the forms the toilet had feces left on it two of the rooms the bathtub was dirty all three rooms the beds were dirty had hair on one oil/ dirt on the other the pillows had yellow spots on it. The carpets in all rooms hadn't been vacuumed. The fridge was dirty. There was bugs in the third room we were showed. And one of the walls had something that looked like blood/feces. The manager came to view the first/second room but didn't say anything. He was semi-polite I had just had knee surgery the day before hotel had no elevator. All rooms were on second floor. The outside of hotel smelled like urine. The floors upstairs hallway hadn't been vacuumed. Also the floors were uneven dips inclines. The upstairs period was unbearably hot my son ended up having bad,nosebleed. We checked three rooms in 30mins and left. We stayed at another much nicer hotel down the street. Overall I wouldn't let me dog stay there!!!
