lack of elevator and difficult to park the car
Proximity to the Old Quarter of Rouen.
Our room was "tatty".
The location was close to the train station and then central to exploring the old downtown.
While booking I put a small notice of my early arrival as I hoped I could just leave my luggage and make a short tour of the center before check-in time. I was pleasantly surprised to find my room ready for me so early due to my notice. Excellent location! The bathroom, though small, was recently renovated. I didn't expect a hair-dryer concerning hotel ranking. An electric tea-pot with cups and a bag of green-tea was also welcoming detail. I didn't take breakfast in the hotel as I almost never do in France and Italy.
The bed was not comfortable and the room was cold. The floor was inclined, but I found it charming, as well as narrow, creaky, steep stairs. The room was shabby but in a charming way.
the staff was very nice and helpful
The room was a disaster. It smelled old, looked old, horrible bed, no pillows and generally unclean. I would never stay here again, even if it was free.
Helpful staff. Central location. Quiet.
Friendly staff, convenient location, good price, Radio Classique in the salon.
Amateurish interior decoration, old furniture, questionable electrics.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The photographs on your site do not do the hotel justice.
Bar only open from 7.30pm - 9.00pm. Poor selection of wine & beer. However not too much of a problem as close to other establishments. My bed was a little uncomfortable, but not unbearable. We were lucky with parking outside the hotel, however parking did seem a problem otherwise.
the staff were incredibly friendly and informative, the room was clean and kept clean.
