room was very nice
staff was largely clueless; pleasant but clueless. Can you make up my room in the next 3 hours? "Maybe." Can I check out at 1 instead of noon? "Maybe." Can you have may bill ready when I check out? "Yes." except no. And more examples but... Basically a Marriott with nice rooms and view but limited facilities.

Elegant and welcoming
We booked Trezzini after much research due to it's proximity to the University, where my daughter is studying. Turned out it was not anywhere near her dorm but the graciousness, luxury, and value of the hotel made the choice delightful. Our room was wonderfully appointed with bottled waters aplenty, Chopard toiletries, robes, slippers, and essentials. We were greeted with champagne and chocolates upon our arrival and subsequent returns. Hotel was located across the river from the Admiralty and Winter Palace - all easy walks, even in November. Staff were wonderful - particularly Hrai and Anastasia, in the restaurant. I highly recommend it and will stay here, if I am ever fortunate enough to return - lovely!
