Horrible service - Customer always wrong mentality
The Hotel in general was decent. It was clean and updated and the breakfast buffet was good with a lot of variety.
The customer service at the hotel was beyond bad, it was the worst service I have ever experienced. We had an issue with our reservation not being found and although I had a print out of the confirmation with all the information and showing it had been pre-paid, the check in clerk would not accept it because he did not know who Kayak was. He said I had to put a deposit down in order for him to give us a room. He also did not let us borrow the phone to call Kayak's customer service line to correct the issue, nor did he want to call. I have worked in a hotel in his exact position and if someone showed up with a reservation confirmation, it was my responsibility to create the reservation based on the confirmation sheet and deal with the vendor myself. As a person providing a service, the goal is to give the guest and wonderful stress free stay, not make it unbelievably impossible to check in to the hotel at 2 o'clock in the morning. In the end I ended up borrowing a cell phone and calling Kayak and had our room within 10 minutes, if he would've just picked up the stupid phone all the this frustration and this bad review would've been avoided.
