I had stayed at this hotel before and liked it very much. I love the architectural style of the building which is very elegant. Excellent location. Helpful friendly staff.
I had booked a double "Prestige Room" for single occupancy but I later requested a twin bedded room, when a friend decided to join me on my trip. Whilst the twin bedded room was perfectly comfortable, I would not have described it as "Prestige".
Friendly, helpful staff combined with a truly excellent historic location with views of both the chateau and the Loire; very convenient for walking to the centre of Saumur.
Overall, nothing to note.

We enjoyed the view from our room, 212. We appreciated the quiet for sleeping.
There were three things that made us uncomfortable in the room. There was no real hot water for showering. The TV was difficult to operate. The lighting beside the bed was inadiquate. The lighting should be over the bed for reading purposes.
Great Service, Restaurant across the courtyard was excellent too.

Rooms was a bit scruffy and could do with fresh lisk of paint, coffee at breakfast was terrible
