Art Hotel Gran Paradiso

Excelent view. Very helpful and friendly stuff. Free shuttle bus to downtown. Free parking for 5 - 9 cars.

Poor breakfast. Not a 4 star hotel. Expensive Wi Fi (3.5€/30min!). . No balcony privacy.

Peace & quietness/very good service of the courtesy bus and a very good driver in Mariano.

The evening meal was 25 euros per person including the children (there was no children's menu). It was 4 courses which we really didn't want and was very old fashioned in terms of what they offered. Compared to the restaurants in town it was not good value. They offered a simple but good snack bar menu at lunchtime and we would have eaten more often in the hotel in the evening had this been available. As it was we really had to eat in town. Had the kids been small this would have been a problem without a car as the only evening courtesy bus was at 11pm and the one time we didn't have the car we were quoted 20 euros for a taxi for the 5 of us which for a 5 minute journey made a London black cab look like a positive bargain. As it was we walked which was bracing but enjoyable but I would not have wanted to tackle it with elderly parents or children younger than about 6 or 7.
