The food made by Anna Maria was amazing! It was by far one of the best meals that we had during our vacation. The views were also nice, however for the price we would have liked to stay in a hotel closer to town.
When we were booking our room on booking.com the hotel quoted us 65 euro/night. Then, when we were checking out on our final day we were given a bill for 90 euro per night. When I asked the man at the desk he just said that the 65 euro is the "booking fee" and the 90 euro was the additional cost of the room. Not very professional in my opinion! Another thing that we didn't really appreciate was the "shuttle service". There is a schedule for the summer but in the winter/off season it does not run regularly and it's quite disorganized. Finally, there is no internet at the hotel dispite what it says on booking.com

Not so much a B&B or hotel but a home away from home. Host, Anna-Maria and her sons, Jean Luigi and Toni went out of their way to make our stay memorable and were genuinely eager to please. Unfortunately, we did not have dinner at Villa Pane but according to other guests the food is excellent. As it is situated quite high in the hills they do operate a free shuttle at set times each day to and from town. It took my wife and I (both the other side of 55) about 25 minutes to walk down the road into town and there are a couple of short cuts. Walking back will take considerably longer...thanks Jean Luigi for that lift back! Overall, a wonderful place and one we would certainly choose again.
There are no restaurants (other than Villa Pane) or shops nearby but consider this a small price to pay to stay in this little gem.

The room was small but the views over the bay are great. The family who run the hotel are delightful. The best part of Villa Pane is the food. we have visited the country at least twice a year for 15 years and this is the first time at this hotel. We can safely say that this is some of the best food we have ever had in Italy. Worth visiting just for the pleasure of fresh and tasty gourmets eating and fantastic value to boot!
the top floor lacked sound proofing. everything was audible from every room
