Bombora Surf Camp

Nice rooms and amazing vibe. The staff was super nice! The location is awesome, near a main street, a lot of restaurants around, the staff is friendly, the place is clean, the hotel offers a lot of services like laundry, shuttle, Uluwatu temple tickets and more. Great location, everything was clean and comfortable. The staff is super nice and the place is itself is super nice and has a great swimming pool. Well located. Nice male staff organizing scooters etc. Lovely community area and nice sector. The location is excellent. It is within walking distance of many things, restaurants, spas, and the Padang-Padang beach. A new experience for me, traveling alone to a new place for me is a challenge. But it's really fun here, I meet some friends starting for surfing lesson, watching kecak fire dance in Uluwatu Temple, exploring hidden beach together. The cafe has really nice Arabica coffee. Bombora has beautiful pool with Santorini villa design and beautiful landscape, our children love it. The family rooms has 4 single beds and bathroom. The hotel has a strategic location, there are all kinds of restaurants and cafes right outside the hotel so we do not need to rent any bikes. Everything is walking distance. The staffs here are friendly and suggest to go to Padang-Padang beach. It is such a beautiful beach compare to the other beach in Canggu and Kuta. The staff were so friendly and helpful! The location is amazing and place was clean. Staff were lovely. Outdoor area and communal area was nice like the pool and pool table and the little ladders outside the room were handy for hanging up and drying off clothes. Good walking distance from popular restaurants and cafes and from Padang Padang beach which is a bonus. TV also had Netflix, Amazon video etc. The laundry service was excellent the washing smelled amazing afterwards and several tops were ironed for us free of charge. Great location, clean, comfortable room.

Room was dirty, specially shower. We paid 80 Eu for night. Bed sheets are smelly. The room had too many windows and was very bright, and for example the window between the toilet & bedroom was quite terrible if someone needed to go bathroom during the night. Not good value for money. Place was not like pictured. Smaller, dirtier, rude front reception staff and management. Doors didn't work properly or lock, bugs in bathroom, mould, loud music late at night, lack of privacy, didn't have the twin room as booked, works ongoing, trash everywhere (especially where they've thrown into adjacent jungle). And were charged almost the price of 2 nights for a small stain on sheet, given its a surf hostel it seems they expect guests to be immaculate clean and not allowing for fair use, this would of been nice is explained. Do not stay here! Avoid at all costs! The bathroom smelled like sewage. Other guests played very loud music (but stopped at 11pm), and some guests were talking very loudly outside our room at 4am. The room is too old and need renovation and or at least change the curtains in the bathroom. The room wasn’t clean. The bathroom was particularly dirty - mold all over the shower curtain and the window curtain between the bathroom and bedroom. Both of which smelled quiet bad. There was hair and dirt all over the bathroom floor around the toilet. Loud construction work going on next door (right on top of you). Rooms weren’t cleaned during our stay. Wouldn’t stay again. No storage space in the room. It's a scam because it was written on booking "private pool" instead it was shared with everyone. The room was dirty and moldy. The bathroom and towels also dirty. Very, very noisy during the night, impossible to sleep. Too expensive and no privacy, only curtains to separate our space. Very noisy, people playing loud music through the night. The pictures online were different than the room I got. There is no picture anywhere of this specific room, which looked online much nicer than the real thing. The room was not good, bathroom was awful. No fridge not in the room and not even a public one. Too much noise and the staff not welcoming. Bathroom was a bit grim looking but not the worst. Definitely still a great place for the price.

The hotel offers a lot of services like laundry, shuttle, Uluwatu temple tickets and more. The surf camp provides free shuttles to Cashew Tree on Thursday, Ulu Cliff on Sat and Single Fins on Sunday at 8pm and bring us back at midnight. Hatch club is just 2 minute walking distance and it was packed on Saturday. Bombora provides express laundry at a cheap price which is very convenient for me. They even iron the clothes. It will be ready the next morning. They also provide surf lessons, motor rental, airport transfers, great wifi, cable TV and Bintangs !!!
