Hilton St Augustine Fl
Breakfast, Costly Valet Parking, very small room for $430 / per night, amenities in room similar to Motel 8 hotels. Definitely not a Hilton Hotel model I would be proud of.
Hotel was under renovations everywhere
very good location foe seeing the sights. The price was reasonable.
Could not get to our room because of construction in the hall and rooms on both sides of our room. Power tools and lumber laying across the hall. Dust and dirt everywhere. We asked the woman at the desk when checking in to move us to a different part of the hotel. She said that she would be "happy to cancel our reservation and we could go somewhere else" I asked to speak to a manager and was told that was not possible, the head housekeeper did come out to say that the construction on the room next to us would end at 4PM that day, It did not. Reception, dinning room and bar was closed for renovations. A nearby room was turned into the breakfast room and a temporary reception area was placed in the back, and a portable bar was set up in the evening serving beer and wine. What kind of wine, we asked the server; Red and White. This type of customers service may just keep me from going to a Hilton in the future. Management just didn't care.
The $24 parking + tip was an experience. Never stayed in a handicapped room before since I'm not handicapped. The $15 free continental breakfast + tip was superb.
The Hilton Bayfront is an amazing hotel. The staff was awesome and our room was comfortable and clean. I would recommend it to everyone I know. It's location is absolutely perfect in the heart of the historic district. walking distance to almost everything.
The unique Hilton St. Augustine Historic Bayfront hotel combines a reverence for the history of St. Augustine with the modern day luxuries and amenities guests expect in a Hilton. The hotel's intimate size and feel are reminiscent of a boutique hotel, and yet it offers the extensive services and facilities that are usually found only in much larger hotels. The charming, vibrant Spanish Colonial Period structure consists of a "hollow square" design, in this case, 19 different buildings set around an inner courtyard and connected by an interior corridor. The buildings were inspired by the Second Spanish Colonial historic period, with wooden balconies, cedar-shake & tile roofs, with different elevations and colors that allow it to blend in with its surroundings. Virtually all Hilton St. Augustine Historic Bayfront hotel rooms offer stunning views of Matanzas Bay or the city of St. Augustine's historic district. Situated in the Historic District of "America's Oldest City", the Hilton St. Augustine Historic Bayfront hotel is within walking distance to many of the area's finest restaurants and most popular attractions. Horse drawn carriages and the Historic Trolley transport visitors from the hotel through the streets of the old city. Historical points of interest include the Spanish Colonial Castillo de San Marco National Monument, dating from 1672, the original Government House and the magnificent Victorian structures of the period built by Henry Flagler including Flagler College formerly his grand hotel. The hotel’s facilities include an outdoor pool and hot tub, fitness center, business center, concierge service and a guest laundry and valet service. The Menendez and Ponce rooms, 800 square feet each or 1600 square feet when combined, can accommodate meetings of up to 125 people or of banquets up to 100. The 250 square foot Board Room can accommodate 12 and offers views of the bay. The Aviles restaurant and Lounge within the Hilton St. Augustine Historic Bayfront hotel features creative global cuisine with touches from the region surrounding Aviles, the sister city of St. Augustine in Spain. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and diner and includes an outdoor dining area. Be our guest at Hilton St. Augustine Historic Bayfront hotel and "Experience History from our Point of View".
