Great homey clean and friendly
Great restaurant, fun being in town. Large rooms, friendly staff.
Ski Trip
Booked the Green Mountain Hotel for a recent ski trip for my fiancé. We went with another couple and shared a room. I'm not a skier so I stayed behind while everyone else went to the mountain. This hotel was AWESOME! The room was quiet and so so comfy. The outdoor hot tub was so cool especially since it was about 20 degrees while we were there. The gym/sauna is so clean and so nice. We had brunch on Sunday and drinks at the restaurant. The whole place is sparkling clean and everyone is so so nice!! Location is perfect close to downtown restaurants and shopping.
A little far from the mountain. Was no big deal for us and they have an awesome free shuttle that will take you straight to the mountain but if you don't feel like dealing with the shuttle or if you don't have a car that's good in the snow to get you the 15-20 drive to the mountain you might want to stay at one of the resorts at the mountain.
Centrally-located village inn
My room was very spacious and clean, had a whirlpool tub, working gas fireplace, and luxury bedding. On-site restaurant was fantastic. Literally steps from other restaurants, cafes, bookstore, arts and gift shops. Keurig coffee machine, small fridge, and robes in room. Wineglasses also appreciated.
Breakfast was on the pricey side, but portions generous.
Very nice inn. Staff terrific. Perfect for a visit to Stowe.
Wonderful stay although short. Would love to stay again someday if we ever get back to Stowe. Would recommend to anyone.
The quality of rooms, furnishings and food in the dining room
The dining room was very busy and only one bartender, waited much too long for a simple glass of wine right at the bar with I my 4 people sitting there.
Very pleasant hotel in a lovely location. A few miles from the major ski resort of Stowe, without no doubt having to pay the higher prices.
If you want to be close to the skiing action, then you need to drive, but only a few miles. I didn't, so it was ideal for my trip.
Ideal location for this area of North Vermont
Not clear that breakfast was not included in price - staff in breakfast area presumed we wanted coffee and did not offer tea without us asking!
Staff very pleasant and helpful. Location is excellent and the free parking a bonus. Would definately recommend this hotel.
A very comfortable hotel. 4 poster bed. Great breakfast.
Bedrooms quite small.
Beautiful room with a huge bath and four poster bed, also log gas fire in our room which would be fab when on a ski trip.
Very friendly and accomadating staff. Hotel was clean and beautiful. Would stay there again.
Great rooms, great service, great food at the Whip (the Inn's restaurant). The Inn is right in the center of Stowe so there are lots shops and restaurants within walking distance. I have stayed at this Inn several times and have never been disappointed.
Beautiful scenery, good atmoshere and professional and kind staff. Rooms are cozy and well equipped. Very well decorated common and resting areas
A bit noisy, the road next to the hotel is quite busy and the air conditioning too.
The staff was very attentive and cheerful. The room was beautiful and the location was central to everything in the village of Stowe. Historic and romantic. We loved it.
The Inn was well situated and the staff was friendly and I would stay here again. The Luxury Room w/jacuzzi tub is a must!
