Overview

The Hampton Inn Taos hotel in New Mexico is 2.5 miles south of the Central Plaza area and across the street from South Side Convention Center. Taos area attractions include Red Willow Park and cemetery, historic homes, museums, casinos, shops and galleries, and spectacular views from the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. In the winter, hit the slopes at Taos Ski Valley, only 20 miles away. The Hampton Inn Taos hotel features 71 rooms, some with mountain views. All guest rooms include a coffeemaker, hair dryer and HDTV. Our hotel amenities include indoor pool, complimentary hot breakfast and complimentary high-speed internet access throughout the hotel. A guest laundromat is available for a nominal fee.

Pros (+) Best use of space in a medium budget hotel
Cons (-) Breakfast was fairly skimpy. The pineapple was canned I'm sure. The batter for the waffles was pretty awful. It produces waffles that tasted like chalk and which fell apart in a cloud of dust! They had the famous (infamous) cheese omelet things and the bean burritos both of which I passed on. Coffee was very good.
