GoodJul 20106.7
The food was amazing, but we had no idea it would be so much, maybe publishing a menu so people do not eat to much of the earlier dishes and then feel as though the 18 courses that come later will be wasted - particularly at the kiddish lunch after services on shabbos.
We dealt with two staff members, only one of which was sensitive to our differing religious beliefs. The kibbutz is orthadox, but my husband and I are less religious, and though we celebrate shabbat, we were made to feel as though we were a little unwelcome by one of teh staff members becuase of our difference in observance, however, the female staff member, who was from England, was very welcoming and made us feel much more like the hotel was more broad in its ability to welcome all Jews. Perhaps the staff - if they dont' want to be outwardly welcoming, could at least hide how they feel about less observant Jews.

the hotel stafff was so helpful and friendly, we got there late at night and they offered us free drinks from the bar. They helped me half hour explaining directions and on top of it the room was spacious, nice views and breakfast was scrumptious!!

About
Overview
The Kibbutz Lavi Hotel was established in 1962, originally set up as a group of rental houses in the kibbutz. It was transformed into a small hotel a few years later, and today it offers 184 guest rooms and suites that cater to religious holidays in Eastern Israel, about 10 minutes from Tiberias. Guests can visit plenty of local landmarks and religious attractions like the Jezreel Valley, St. Peter’s Church, the Tomb of Maimonides, Mount Arbel, Hamat Tiberias National Park, and the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation. The Mediterranean Sea is just steps from the hotel.
The Kibbutz Lavi Hotel offers an indoor heated pool and lounge area that includes a dry sauna and a toddler pool. There is also a variety of children’s activities available and childcare services can be provided upon request. The hotel has a souvenir shop in the lobby, an air-conditioned gym and fitness center, a tennis court, and a courtyard. Bicycle rentals are available at this hotel, which also has a number of meeting and event spaces. There is an on-site synagogue and a Torah library for guest use.
Guests have their choice of deluxe rooms, garden rooms, and suites during their stay. All of the guest rooms include complimentary WiFi, TVs with premium channels, a coffee corner, closet storage, premium bedding and linens, and private baths with luxurious amenities. Select rooms and suites feature views of the mountains and private balconies, and there are a select number of family rooms available at the hotel. The front desk is available 24 hours a day and parking is free.
