This is a grubby hotel
The swimming pool temperature, room décor, showers.
My stay was June 24-25, 2018. a. Glacial and dirty elevators. b. The hotel was like a refugee camp with many people there who were clearly not guests - they seemed to be refugees staying there on the government's dime. c. One morning there was no hot water - this was a temporary problem. d. Corridors were lit by ugly bluish daylight colour light bulbs. e. Stairwells were grubby. f. The pool anteroom had the atmosphere of a prison hospital and had multiple burned-out lights. The pool had peeling paint and rotting wood, with visible plywood used for repairs. g. Pool cleanliness. One night there were dirty towels strewn about the pool and mud on the pool deck that someone had tracked in. The next morning there were no clean towels and there was still mud on the pool deck. I asked for clean towels and an employee brought some but he ignored a large pile of dirty towels! h. The pool washrooms were dirty and had multiple burned-out light bulbs. i. One all was damaged in my room, like something large had been thrown against it. j. Safety - there were two loose and projecting outlets in the room. In summary, this is one of the worst hotels that I have encountered and was far overpriced at USD$130. Avoid it at all costs.

Comfortable beds, quiet rooms, pleasant staff, good pool facilities
We were charged a $20 fee for parking over our four day stay. We were sightseeing every day so the car was only in the lot overnight. It was not noted when we booked that parking was extra. I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Yorkdale in Toronto and they do not charge for parking. I think this should be included in room rates, especially if you're using their restaurant as well during your stay.
