Reviews about Dar Traki Medina de Tunis
“I arrived as a burnt out creature and was transformed into a human being ! This place is a former palace of an official, located in the Medina of Tunis. The house has preserved the atmosphere, architecture and decoration of the ancient days. Once inside the building, there is a stunning silence that is only broken by the chanting of the muhezins calling the faithful to the many mosques of the area. The staff operating the establishment is very friendly and extremely supportive. The breakfast was good and served in the old living room of the house. Prior to arrival, travelers should call the house, such that a staff member can direct the taxi driver to a convenient location and pick up the travelers at that place.”
“Dar traki is tucked in a tiny alley in the Medina. A small quiet paradise. It was great as a base for explorations in the area. Fantastic breakfast and the personnel was super friendly and caring.”
“The breakfast was amazing (best crepes and mint tea I've ever had!). Our host was so sweet and helpful, giving us mint tea and encouraging us to relax before even checking in. The property was gorgeous, even better than the photos! It was clean and traditional with great spaces to hang out in. The location is also great in a very local and cute area of the medina. Be sure to check out the cookie shop across the street!”
“Nice breakfast, and above all very helpful, warm and lovely staff. The owner came in to explain us about the history of the place.”
“Breakfast was fresh juice, eggs, fresh bread, butter, jam, coffee or tea, crepe. We were in the Medina which suited us just fine. Five minutes to the grand mosque for those who are interested.”
