The staff were very friendly, even if not all of them spoke very good English. The room was comfortable and clean, with air conditioning. The breakfast was very good, and the location is excellent for the Lingotto conference complex.
Something that other guests might want to consider is that this hotel is not very convenient for the centre of town. It's a short train ride away, though the trains are not very regular. It takes around 45 minutes to walk from the hotel to the centre.
Wireless in room ok. Staff kind. Clean room.
Room I was first given was on front, too hot and especially noisy since it faces a road with plenty of traffic. However, my room was changed to a much quieter one the next day upon my request.
The information on the hotel said Wifi and airconditioning. The hotel had neither. Parking was available on the street.
The staff were amazing - so warm and welcoming, particularly Andrea who speaks excellent English having studied in the USA. There were a lot of choices at breakfast, which ran until 10am. Our room was huge and very clean. Once we got used to driving in Torino, we found we were less than 10 mins from the centre, though the public transport seemed very good and there was a bus stop right outside the hotel. The Olympic village from the 2006 winter Olympics is right across the street. There was an excellent pizzeria on a square near the hotel and also a nearby cafe. It is a residential area so no tourists at all.
The outside front entrance to the hotel - sandwiched between an apt building and a petrol station - belies the good quality inside. Opaque glass doors with plastic lettering, a neon 'open' sign' and a neon scrolling sign with the telephone number all make it look cheap and like it is aimed at passing traffic, not tourists wanting somewhere safe and comfortable. I was afraid to go in at first but then was so surprised once I was inside. In the end the couple who own the hotel and Andrea all waved us off and I felt genuinely sad to leave. The entrance definitely needs to be made to look more up to date.
Andrea at the reception is an asset for the Hotel, very very helpful.
I stayed here to watch the Figure Skating World Championship 2010 in Torino.Locationwise,it wasn't the nearest one but still within walking distance to Palavela stadium(20mins+) through Lingotto shopping centre and convenient. Bank atm/the corner shop nearby. The hotel is family runned and they were all very kind and helpful. There is an English speaking staff and no problem of communication.Even if not, they were all attentive & hospitable and always gave me a warm welcoming smile. Buffet breakfast was good as well. If you want to experience a warm Italian family's hospitality, this hotel is a good choice.
The personnal was very kind.
The rooms are too noisy with the traffic outside and the neighboord.
