Vero Beach motels

Cons: Wrong room was assigned at checkin (walked into room to find guy smoking with shirt off). Went back to front desk, new room assigned. Walked into new room, smell of bleach was overpowering. Tub had hot water faucet handle missing, tub floor cracked into pieces (like a hammer had been used on it). Cigarette smell from room next door constantly coming through air vents into room (making non-smoking room essentially a smoking room). Front desk staff didn't seem to know what they were doing or why rooms were occupied and not empty ("new shift" lady blamed it on the lady from the previous night and rambled for a few minutes about how she was "sick of this sh*t" etc instead of just assigning new room and apologizing on behalf of hotel. Bottom line, you get what you pay for and I didn't pay much so, I guess it is what it is.
