B&b Magnolia

Nice place but...

We had a warm welcome from one of the staff (he offered us drinks and all), the house is beautiful and super clean, the room was comfortable and practical: desk, lots of lamps, dustbin, mirror,... The place feels really safe and they even gave us really great addresses of restaurants (and a map of the city, things to see...)!

It is kind of noisy: you can hear everything people say in the other rooms, the train (but it is not so annoying) and the locks and doors opening and closing. But the worst thing is the breakfast: we were told it was available from 8:30 to 10:30 (which we found a bit late, since most places to visit open at 8:30), but when we got there, no one was there and nothing was ready. We waited for 30 minutes before helping ourselves with what we could find... So really poor service (well, no service at all). We left a note to explain what happened but they didn't even apologize or acknowledge it... The second day, food was on display, but what food! Disgusting coffee from a machine, not enough hot water, no cold drinks, industrial pastries (still in their plastic packaging!)... So we didn't really appreciate the breakfast... To say the least (when there was any breakfast, that is... Not so much of a B&B).

close to city center, good breakfast, helpful staff, room quite small with low roof.

It's only 5 minutes away from Verona Porta Nuova (train station). Even though we got lost trying to find it, Roberto, who works there, came and picked us up. They gave us pointers on where to go and where to eat for a reasonable price.

Close to the train tracks, breakfast a bit meager for my taste.
