Great location in the centre of Helmsley. Very spacious room. Splendid evening meals served very rapidly despite the crowding at Bank Holiday.
Tv in the room was a bit poor and the outside gate slamming caused the bed to bounce. Choice at the breakfast buffet was limited though it might have been available if requested (Cornflakes and Grapefruit juice)
Good room, very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast well cooked and properly served. Facilities were fine.
I was surprised to find that we were allocated a room different from the one I had booked. I was somewhat exasperated when I discovered that the room number had been altered on the room card, the room obviously having been given to someone else. I had particularly reserved a room overlooking the square for nostalgic reasons. I was none too pleased that it had been allocated to someone else after my reservation had been agreed. The upgraded room was very pleasant but not what I originally asked for. I hope the hotel system will be reviewed to ensure that this situation does not arise again. Otherwise everything was fine, and the reception clerk was most apologetic.
Pleasant, very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast with a good choice of food.
Soiled duvet cover on bed. Used crisp bag left in drawer.
Friendly atmosphere, pleasant helpful staff and good food.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was good value for money in the evenings . It is a popular local venue and has a good local reputation.
There was a limited choice for breakfast eg only orange juice and no other fruit juice was offered and no yoghurt. The portions for all meals was so generous that the hotel must have considerable wastage.
