Quirky/homely accommodation in the centre of Amsterdam. Quietly situated on a beautiful canal. Personal and friendly welcome.
nothing we didnt like. Some might find steep wooden stairs and tight bedroom space in attic difficult.

A charming traditional house on a canal with two very different guest rooms. Friendly owner, great location.
Back room has two floors, but very quirky. Very small toilet, restricted head-space over bed.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming and it was lovely to stay in their beautiful typical Amsterdam house for the weekend. The B&B is only 5 minutes walk from the Central Station which made it very easy to get to/from the airport. Our room at the front overlooked the canal so always something to watch, and gave us a real sense of being in Amsterdam. On our last day the owners were happy to let us leave our luggage and collect it later in the day. Overall this was a comfortable and no-hassle place to stay for the weekend and I would be very happy to stay there again.
The only thing that might not suit some people is the fact that the doors between the bedroom and bathroom are opaque glass and do not shut tight, therefore not 100% private. Not an issue for us, but maybe not to everyone's liking. The stairs to our room were steep and narrow as is typical in this style of property; this may be tricky for some people but did not trouble us.

It is extremely well located in Amsterdam. The couple that run it are terrific and it was fun getting to know some Dutch folks.
People need to be aware that there is no elevator and all sleeping rooms are up at least two circular sets of steps.
