Loved the location. Great proximity to the city and to the train station. The staff were all very helpful and had a great sense of humor.
Stairs are extremely narrow and hard to get up and down with luggage in hand. The walls, carpets and flooring could use a good .
The cafe downstairs was very relaxed and welcoming. The location of the hotel is fantastic too - walking distance of everything we wanted to see.
Receptionist for hotel was slightly abrupt; room had a smokey smell; there was a 6x6 inch hole in the outside wall of the room.
The hotel is in an excellant location for a short weekend and used only as a place to lay your head
The rooms were too small with little space for luggage and shared shower and toilet facilities. Not ideal for a family or business trip
Very Steep Staircases, we were with big lugguages and we had to stay on 4th floor, no lift available. very uncomfortable rooms. Wifi was not available / reaching in rooms (only in lobby), Staff seems to be a bit non cooperative and arrogant.
it was very close to the city center and all relevant touristic attractions
First of all, the promises and what i was told in the advertisment was not true. The room i received was so poor, i paid over 79 EUROS a night to receive a room that had not bathroom, no toilet and a broken television. It was a terrrible experience and i will sure share this with all my business partners and friends.
Its price and location.
Before reservation they quote that Hotel offer free Wifi. But in actual Wifi is only accessible on ground floor i.e in cafe only.
It was central in a nice area
The staff. We were first put in a room on the 4th (5th) floor, and being seniors found the stairs too much to cope with (no elevator). We were immediatedly moved to a room on the 3rd floor, then down to the 2nd for the next two nights. Staff members helped us take suitcases up the stairs. The location was handy to the train station and to lots of tourist attractions.
The neighborhood was not pleasant and was noisy night and day, but we did not feel it was unsafe to be out two women alone. The hotel was being renovated and did not have some amenities - a lobby, for instance.
The location is ideal. Close to central station. Haarlemmerstraat a busy , vibrant street with everything you need to get on with your stay in Amsterdam. Close distance to the tram links and an easy walk into town , red light district etc.
The only drawback (though minor) is the lack of a lift (I found myself on the top floor). Dutch stairways are more akin to ladders.
the personal treatment from the staff
That I arrived at 9 in the morning and couldnt check in before 14, and I couldnt even leave my luggage there
The Hotel not accept credit cards, in the website its accepted, but is a fake. at arrive the hotel dont accept the credit card. There is no cleaner, no towels, shower not cleaned. Tv dont work.
