The only thing I like about it was it's location and the big space of the room
The furniture was very old and dirty. The bed was very noisy, with no sheet on it! No towel supply during the 4 nights.
The hotel room is not a hotel room at all, it is a flat - rather nice and cousy.
Hotel staff first said that we can pay when check-out, bit one hour later he wanted money ASAP! He was not polite and didn't try to solve any problem.
After finally being able to check in, we enjoyed our room. Good location to restaurants and the Amsterdam train station.
the rooms for the hotel were not located at the address of the check in office. After walking all the way from the train station to the office with our luggage, we had to go almost 3 blocks back to towards the train station to go to the house where our room was located. Also we tried checking it at 2:30 PM which was after the normal check in time and our room was not ready until 4PM.
The design and the location of the room was excellent. A good chance to spend time in Amsterdam not like a tourist, but like a local. The staff is very friendly, I got a message from them with a detailed information on how to get to the guesthouse, paying options a.s.o. just as soon as I booked a room. The guesthouse has great value for money.
Well, they change towels once in three days. That didn't bother me actually, but I suppose there're people who could find it unacceptable. Also you have to pay cash (10% creditcard surcharge), but the staff told me about this in the very first mail. Everything else was fine. Some people might say a TV is kind of small or something else, but believe me, you get just what you pay for, no more, no less.
I was surprised to find the hotel room was infact an apartment complete with livingroom and kitchen. Considering that, the value for money wasn't too bad. The appartment was spacious and well equiped. I could have happily stayed there for a few weeks.
Had to phone the hotel to get someone for check-in. He arrived within a few minutes though so not a major problem. Just a bit unexpected.
