The location is excellent near numerous restaurants the hotel is very clean and the usual high quality Marriott rooms. I was surprised there not a safe in the room. The executive lounge only operates Sunday to Thursday. I would stay there again.

Pros (+) I've had so many great memories here. I prefer this hotel to the Cook as the rooms are slightly larger and the decor doesn't make liberal Alaskans uncomfortable.
Cons (-) The rooms are smaller than the hotels in midtown, and the restaurant in the hotel are not as interesting as the other downtown restaurants.

Pros (+) The staff was very helpful. We are Gold members and since the Lounge is now closed on the weekend, we were given a voucher for a free continental breakfast in their restaurant. We were given late checkout, which we needed because we had a late flight from Anchorage.
Cons (-) We didn't like that the Lounge was closed on the weekend. It was also a little pricey. They don't have a shuttle from the airport, although it seemed that many other hotels did.
