Vila Galé Eco Resort Angra

Staff were quite ready to assist in every way, and the recreation team was an excellent one.

The food, although good looking and in a good variety, did not taste up to expectations.

The location is great, the hotel is very beautifil and it felt like I was in paradise for few days, night intertainment, the pool and huge and very nice, the water bar by the pool is terrfic. I would definitely recomment this total to anyone. It is a must if you want to spend few days in Angra.

Consistent good choice of good quality buffets,fresh friut available with all meals.Fussy children always found something they liked (including pasta choice most meals).Pleasantly surprised to find drinks (soft drinks,beer and wine ) included.Daily activities organised including Eco walks,Dance class,Boat trip (at extra cost). Hotel staff friendly. Local shops on hotel site were reasonably priced (not usual rip off as 5 star resort and you have no alternative but to buy there.)

Advised by reception staff and on site travel agent that only way to get into town(Angra ) was by private taxi (costing 50 Reals one way). Untrue- regular bus service,used also by hotel employees,stops just outside front gate of resort ( cost 1.80 reals one way). Approximately 20 mins into town,otherwise not much to do at resort if weather wet,as we had for most of our time.
