Nice, but the traffic noise!
Everything but the traffic noise.
Better ask for a room on the other side of the building from I-240, or you will be (not so gently) serenaded to traffic noise all night long!
Enjoyed our stay for a weekend getaway to Asheville! We loved the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room, the variety of the continental breakfast and the proximity to downtown. The highlight was definitely sunset on their rooftop Montford bar.
However, the cost of the room was overpriced for our stay and we didn’t appreciate the hidden cost of paying for $16 daily parking (not included), the fact that the pool windows are not tinted (located on the first floor) and there was no tub only a standing shower in our room.
The staff was extremely helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was great and the location was primo.$
$16.00 per day parking charge. Rooms on highway side are loud (we learned that and chose a room on the other side).
Tarah was the staff and helped us so much
The booking process through hotels.com didn't work!!! I paid and said I had a confirmation and did t so I paid again when I got there just to get a room. I had to call three times and over 1.5 hours to get a credit that may take 15 days to be credited back to me. RIDICULOUS
Great location. Great staff. Clean.
It was very noisy. Lots of traffic noise and lots of noise from the adjoining room
nice, clean hotel
spacious room, nice rooftop bar with view of the mountains.
charged for parking, had to move rooms because the remote control blinds wouldn't work.
Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 9 pm. Housekeeping walked in our room without knocking at 8:30 AM while we were not dressed. Then housekeeping knocked on our door again at 9:45 AM and again at 11 AM, prior to our 12 PM checkout. I spoke to the front desk and she offered me a free cup of coffee. There was already free coffee in the room. I would have much preferred to actually have had privacy in our room and not bothered by the staff. the staff was rude unaccomodating and closed the bar prior to its stated closing time. We won't stay there again despite frequenting Asheville (in the last 5 months, we have rented luxury hotel rooms 24 nights in downtown Asheville).
the mattress and pillows were too soft, and left us wanting for a better night sleep.
Solid choice for Family
It's clean, well appointed, nicely decorated, and all amenities and facilities were of superior quality and construction. The free breakfast was surprisingly very good, and the staff was warm and friendly. I will stay here again, especially given the price.
One drawback is the location...a few blocks away from the action and attractions of downtown. Shouldn't be a problem for anyone but the very infirm or physically challenged, but it is a consideration. A nearby homeless shelter was also a strange neighbor...but...its Asheville. The city population seems to be mostly homeless people so...
Great breakfast. Great beds.
No rooftop bar.
