The breakfast was good. Overall the hotel experience would've been good, except the a.c. wasn't working properly in our room. We woke up several times throughout the night, asked for a room change. The offered to fix it, but nobody came, and they didn't switch the room for us.
It was good, I guess.
I liked how clean and well maintained the building and room were.
No continental breakfast.
Very Clean and Comfortable
The staff was friendly and the hotel was located in a good area that's close to the interstate. I was able to get to downtown Austin in no time.
Had to pay for parking
False alarm went off at 6:30am
A little pricy but over pretty good
Dirty, poorly designed, money hungry.
I appreciate the cookies.
The hotel is a maze, you have to pay for parking, and there was trash left over in my room. One of the more disgusting was an old, sticky beer bottle right under the bedskirt that I stepped on as I got into bed. Stay elsewhere.
Our room was clean when we got there. AC was nice and cold, I forgot my blow dryer and was happy they had a regular conair blow dryer instead of the baby ones hotels usually have. Front staff was friendly and helpful while we checked in and out. Didnt stay in the room much but while we were there we didn't have problems.
We thought it was the one more downtown but it was only about 3 exits down from the doubletree that is downtown so it wasnt too bad.
This property is beginning to show its age. Needs some maintenance work.
The AC did not get cold and was miserable at night. They were remodeling our floor so we were woken up at 7 am by construction workers loudly working in the hallway. Very unsatisfied and disappointed with the hotel.
weird room service request
I didnt understand why house keeping had to go around the floor at 9am in the morning asking everyone if they needed house keeping. We were leaving that morning anyways. Didnt see why they had to wake us up and ask us.
Conference in downtown Austin
Value of being in a nice hotel close to downtown Austin for a reasonable price.
Tough to get to hotel from freeway.
I enjoyed that there was more in the room than just a bed and a tv. There was a couch and a coffee table, as well as a French door going out to the courtyard/pool area right from your room. Just be careful not to close the door behind you without grabbing a key like I did; the door to outside locks behind you! The location was great. Since it's right off of highway 35, it's fast to get anywhere in the city.
I wish there had been free self parking, but the price was so good that even with the extra $10 a day for parking, this hotel was still cheaper than other hotels.
The grounds of the hotel were very very nice and the staff was amazing.
The pool is sort of enclosed so even if on the streets it is 90 degrees, it feels about 80 by the pool, and it is all shady, Not good for laying out.
The bartender & waitress that was on duty while we were there on saturday p/m 10-23-2010
Went to get a coke from 2nd.FLOOR Vending machine.. completely empty..so went to 3rd floor & when you get off the elavador the sign says go left for the vending machine >> not >>> not >> & not !!! you actually have to go right !!! not left like the sign directs you to...
