Great place for a short stay
We stayed here for a weekend getaway to inner harbor. We were able to walk from the hotel to the harbor. It took about 30 min, but we didn't mind at all. Our room was very clean. And bigger then we expected. The staff was very helpful also.
Wouldn't book again - should have trusted the revi
It was cold, not a huge problem bcs there was a space heater provided. it wasn't terribly comfortable. Lobby/reception was a bit weird. Kind of felt like i was staying in an 'hourly' hotel. it was real NOISY - people above me walking around their room into the wee hours, the trains running by all night, the sirens, the helicopters…i barely slept. then I woke up to a banging sound – workmen installing/fixing the faux wood floor in the hallway @ 7:30! awesome. i liked that it's a re-use of a historic building and close to penn station. however, the reno was cheaply done and seems to be getting shabby already. the rooms are odd as is the vibe of the place. i wouldn't ever stay here again
The heat didn't work well. If I shut the bathroom door it would be a ice box but if I left it open the sun shined right on the bead. It was a lose lose situation. The heater was not working properly and now I'm sick.
Great stay in beautiful Mount Vernon!
I have never felt more comfortable at a hotel as I did here. There were a few times during our trip I looked at my husband and said "I feel like I'm staying at my grandmother's house" The staff and the overall feel of the hotel were so welcoming. I would highly recommend this place!
The elevator was very small and seemed to take a very long time to get to each floor. But honestly that was only a minor ding in this wonderful hotel!
