The room were a good size amd we had a living room with a small kitchen which had loads of equipment
Great Stay @ the Fox!!!
Location was great. Amenities were great. Mountain views were wonderful. Staff was exceptional. Ambiance and attention to detail at this hotel was very attractive. Waffles on the free breakfast. The hot tub, sauna, and cold showers were a nice addition and very cool how its laid out like a cave. Underground parking was nice to have.
Housekeeping was somewhat lacking, the walls seemed very thin as you could hear other guests quite well, quite a bit of road noise if you have a facing room to Banff Ave. and bed comfort was not all that, but all very minor complaints...the overall trip/stay was wonderful and we would definitely stay here again
Good location, but
Great location on Banff Avenue, walkable to downtown and local sights. Hearty breakfast selections, though scrambled eggs would have been nice.
The upstairs loft was too hot to sleep, even with a fan, though downstairs kept cool. Water pressure in the bath was too low to keep the shower on consistently (shower kept shutting off by itself). Breakfast area was a bit cramped.
Access to popular locations.
Really small room. No cups in room. Coffee was not replenished on s daily basis.
Smallest room ever!
Under ground parking, good when to door temp is -10F
To expensive for such SMALL room, we came with 4 carry ons and one large suit case for skiing clothes, NO ROOM to place suit cases, this rooms are the smallest rooms ever! Breakfast included, very basic and mediocre products and choices. I will never go back I do not recommend There are lots of better locations and better looking places closer to down town.
Fun skiing hotel in banff
Just Barely Average
Location, free bus passes
Small room (couldn't find space to open even 1 suitcase comfortably), noisy (the open courtyard concept trapped and encouraged guest noise to echo), no parking in underground lot after about 10:00 at night, uninspired, meager breakfast, no air conditioning. Almost makes me want to revise my rating downward!
Room was clean, bed comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also a big plus.
We liked the location, it was clean and the amenities were good in general.
For the price we paid we were suprised that our room didn't have AC. In the middle of august, it's really warm and we did not sleep well. Room was small but clean. Breakfast is included but you have to pay for eggs and bacon!
Hotel was clean and the staff was helpful. Double beds were comfortable. Hot tub area was great after a long hike. Parking garage underground was convenient. Within walking distance to town. ROAM bus transit a plus to use if needed.
We were in Banff during an unusually hot week with no A/C in the room. The room had 1 small window to open. They did provide an oscillating fan. Rooms were small compared to others. Breakfast was disappointing. No pool for children, only hot tub.
Location was perfect. Staff all very helpful and pleasant. Hot Pool was a nice touch and very enjoyable after a long day of hiking.
Room location was problematic for internet reception and speed. Air Conditioning was far from sufficient to the room during our stay in the late summer. I found the beds a little to hard for my tastes.
Good new and different experience!
Woodwork. Looks. One of the best breakfast staff!
No scrambled eggs in breakfast!
The hot pool, the fire place in the room and the fire place in the Lobby
The Locker for my Snowboards, because the Lock was hard to handle
Close enough to walk to shopping. Continental breakfast. Hot tub.
Beds are very small.
the front desk staff was great... upgraded us to a more suitable room for our needs.. they were always friendly and helpful...
unfortunately the rooms were not sound insulated, you could hear any and all the neighbors... the hot pool (grotto) was overrated, not really suitable for anything but sitting in... the breakfast was good, but we couldn't order bacon or eggs if even when we offered to pay extra for them.
The Front Desk staff were phenomonal! The rooms were on the small side but very comfortable.
Very noisy at night on this occasion which was a shame. We had what was supposed to be a quieter room but other guests made a lot of noise for several hours. Room a little on the small side I thought but okay
Foyer - very welcoming - huge fireplace that actually was in use - love the sound of a crackling fire. Walking distance to the Keg. The hot tub enviroment - great. Chilli's for an after dinner drink. Very comfortable bed. Well presented Continental beakfast, includes waffles.
Would have been nice to have ice machines on each floor. A couple of wine glasses in each room - preferably glass.
For just an extra $40 a night, we upgraded from a queen suite to a king loft. It was amazing!
The staff were friendly; the breakfast was healthy and had many choices. The independent entrance to each suite was a nice feature. We also enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine.
Elevators were very slow.
Staff was very friendly and conpetant.
Exercise facility is too small - no wieghts to speak of.
Hot tub, friendly staff, excellent room, convenience to ski bus and exit from Banff
Too warm in loft the first night; turned down temp for second night but still fairly warm but better
