staff were friendly.
Staff are amazingly helpful. They couldn't do enough for us. Trips they organise ate really good value. Would definitely stay again!
Shower is a wetroom so bathroom gets really wet. Toilet isn't great with flushing but I think this is a general problem in the cities.
Close to city center and to subway. Location in an old Hutong. Atmosphere very Chinese. Staff is very helpfull.
The place gave me a feeling of being in a "historical place"; just like the old time. Staff were friendly, can speak English and were very helpful.
It was a great place from which to explore Beijing - really close to the subway. Being a bit more authentic (down an alleyway/hutong), it gives a really neat view of the city that is often hidden from non-Chinese tourists. Staff were really helpful. Very safe and accommodating for a solo tourist.
The sheets were too small for the bed.
Very helpful staff who organised a great wall trip and acrobatics tickets for us, gave us cake and fruit, and multiple cups of tea. The building is an authentic, old courtyard house - very pleasant. Close of Xisi station.
Don't forget your map or directions because this place is hidden away in a hutong and you may struggle to find it. Some more signs might help.
Fantastic and really helpful staff. Hotel located in a real Beijing hutong and conveniently near of new subway Line 4 (also a Line 2 station is nearby). Spacious room, daily cleaning, friendly atmosphere and plenty of services for such a family hotel.
very good value for money, nice place and great people!
It is a family-run guest house, not too big , not too small, just right size. Staying there for several nights, the feeling are really nice. The staff, owner Bobby and his girls, are very very helpfull and friendly. They treat us just like real friends. I met some great travel mates there, we can sit in the courtyard or the roof top, playing guitar and drink beer, so nice!
It is not a deluxe place, but the price is a worth and very special feeling to live in the old Beijing's hutong and local neighbourhood.
Staying in a hotel in a hutong was a great experience.
The bathroom was quite basic but the experience of staying in a hotel in a hutong made it worthwhile.
