Great value - good location
I have stayed here several times over the past few years while passing through Beijing. This hotel is popular w/ Europeans and those don't need more than a 3* hotel. Staff don't speak much English (or French) but are always helpful. Rooms are as shown and a good value for Beijing. Close to subway lines 2 & 8 give good access to city & tourist attractions. Just north of Beihai and northwestern lakes a few alleys north of the northern Drum & Bell Tower. Lots of restaurants now available on Golou Dajie from street stalls to nice Beijing-style chain. Entire neighborhood are hutong - many bldgs undergoing internal upgrades, but old Beijing flavor w/ local shops still predominant. Unfortunately, government no longer allows hotels to provide computers - hotel has a few rooms w/ internet access.
Friendly and informative staff, walking distance from subway station, drum/bell tower and other interesting sights, $32 per night!!!
Bathroom smell, Breakfast could be better.
Located in a genuin part of old Beijing
Bad smell at the bathroom
the hotel has a good location, but the room is so small.
the smell of the room
Location is good, but the hotel is obviously not a 3* star.
My booked room was no longer available at late check-in, only one dirty room left, but clearly cats had pissed in there (indeed pets are allowed and free of charge). Upon calling staff, they pretended the smell came from the bathroom, and flushed the toilet once more. Next day to originally booked 'deluxe' room, also cats there, but less intense smell. The place is dirty. .At least check your room before you pay.
Good rooms, good hotel, near the metro station. Cerca del metro, buena habitacion y todo ok en general
Is not in a real hutong, is a hutong for tourists, anyway is better than staying in a hotel in a shoping area of Beijing. No esta en un hutong de verdad, es un hutong de turistas pero es mejor que quedarse en un centro comercial.
The staff were the best asset
The rooms were very small as were the bathrooms, shower right next to toilet. The breakfast very poor.
cleaning up and cleanness in a hotel was at due level
a bathroom dissatisfied our requirements
We arrived at mid night Hotel gave us very worm received. Beakfast is excellent.
Staff spoke good English which is always helpful. They were able to book airline tickets for me at a reasonable price. And the cost of the accomodation was reasonable. Close to train station so that is helpful.
The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and the duvet was not big enough for 2 people to share.
The offer of complimentary beer, and a much more acceptable european breakfast than at other four star hotel we stayed in. Very helpful advice by the reception staff
Only a dressing table stool provided but no chairs
Policies vary by room type and provider.
