The room was clean and nicely designed, and the location was excellent. We found it easy to walk to the major museums and tourist sights, plus to walk to and from public transport to the Tegel airport.
While the staff were friendly, they weren't as helpful as we hoped they would be, as they needed to look online to answer pretty basic sightseeing questions. When we asked for suggestions of restaurants in the area for dinner, the staff member couldn't suggest anything other then their in house restaurant, nor any area restaurants with German cuisine, despite being located in a street full of restaurants, including three large German pub-type restaurants overlooking the river. (We had a lovely relaxed meal in one.) The next morning, a different staff member suggested we go significantly out of our way for breakfast, even though there were two simple but good cafes on the same street and an amazing brunch place (Zimt under Zucker) right around the corner.
Spacious Modern Room
The location was great! A quick walk to Friedrichstraße train station. The room was clean, modern, and spacious. Also a quiet location.
It was in an excelent location and the breakfast was superb
The male receptionist I met when I first arrived, was quiet short with me. However, every other member of staff was exceptional. First impressions mean alot!!!
Car parking means public car parking and they don't gurantee if there was a space or not.
Excellent option for business travel, courteous and helpful staff, flexibility compared with original reservation.
You can find many unique hotels in the beautiful capital Berlin. One of them is the Albrechtshof near Friedrichstraße, one of the largest shopping boulevards in the metropolis. In spite of all the lively hustle and bustle, the uniqueness of the hotel becomes apparent as soon as you enter the lobby. An almost indescribable flair, a mixture of an immediate feel-good atmosphere paired with the historical significance of the hotel, make the Albrechtshof Hotel a wonderful place in the midst of the hectic pace of Berlin.
With a total of 98 modern rooms, six conference rooms and the restaurant ALvis, where not only the breakfast buffet is served to our guests, but also German-Mediterranean dishes are offered almost around the clock, the Albrechtshof Hotel provides genuine hospitality. We don't just say that, we also live it. The hotel, which is under the patronage of the VCH (Union of Christian hoteliers), is known by many long-standing guests for providing an individual, cosmopolitan service that always focuses on individual people. When the civil rights activist Martin Luther King visited the hotel in 1964, this was a really unique event.
Our six conference rooms and the catering service are also very popular amongst business people, especially due to the excellent location of the hotel. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, there are many great sights and the beautiful Spree river, the world-famous theatre Friedrichstadt Palace and countless small cafes, bars and restaurants offering cuisines from all over the world.
We are looking forward to seeing you!
