Definitely NOT a five star hotel
The room itself was very nice.
We stayed here four nights and although the room was "cleaned" each day, they never even changed our sheets. Disgusting. They do not provide a range of toiletries, literally just one large bottle of soap that is supposed to a body wash and a shampoo. That bottle was completely empty when we arrived. The staff was not friendly. There's no doorman to help with luggage. It seems like this used to be a nice hotel that underwent a revamp to gear it toward young people. The problem is that the hotel wasn't even fun. And the breakfast was an extortionate 22 Euros per person. That's insane considering our room was only like 65 Euros per night. The location is also about a 10 minute walk from the main tourist area of Ku'damm. Not ideal. There are definitely better hotels in Berlin at this price point. Would not stay here again.
Convenient and enjoyable
The rooms were quirky and a bit kinky but comfortable, clean, and well appointed. Free mini-bar was nice. My room was very quiet and comfortable even though it was 90 degrees out during my stay. Staff was nice and gave me everything I asked for. Very close to U-bahn stop.
It took a bit too long to check in because there was only one person working the desk. I was very jet lagged and anxious to get in my room, but when I got through the que they were fast and courteous.
Incredible staff; very modest in charging for extra requests; humour and unbelievable attention of all staff.
The hotel could soon do with a make-over, it is very 1990s. But again then this incrdeible value for mone would probably vanish...
We liked the quiet leafy street, the friendly, willing staff, the advice offered on where to eat, how to reach places.
On arrival, we found the staff rather pre-occupied, setting up for a grand function at the hotel that evening.
Gorgeous Design, Superb Staff, Fabulous Food. Rooms are not huge and location is not absolutely brilliant, but otherwise a fabulous hotel for a very good price. Highly Recommended.
The hotel's ambience is it's obvious attractiion, however the service and attitude displayed by some staff was very disappointing.
The hottel's reputation and ambience is sadly let down by poor staffing and management practices.
Each time I stay at Brandenburger Hof, the Hotel gets better and better. It is a real delight.
Service was excellent. Room and hotel in general are design stylish. Would stay there again.
Stylish hotel nice room
Lacking basic items most of the info was in German, rooms styled nicely but lacking some simple elements, noisy if the windows open.
Perfectly located near the heart of West Berlin but away from the hustle and bustle down a quiet residential street. Staff and service were exceptional. Restaurant and garden bar area made you feel like you were in a retreat rather than a city hotel. Breakfast was served in the style of dainty afternoon tea at the Ritz, but that's not a criticism! Absolutely fantastic hotel.
The staff were most courteous and friendly. The service was excellent. The hotel itself was in a superb location and it was excellent value.
Everything. Building. Location. Service staff. Continental breakfast. Decor.
The Hotel id a bit out of the way. However, the staff make up in service. The service was excellence. The restaurant was excellent; even though it was pricy.
