The location was good, near the main shopping area (600 meters or so). Also there are subway stations nearby, which take you anywhere within minutes. The breakfast was ok, but the selection (of food) was quite poor. Free wifi works, just ask the password from the reception.
The "hotel" is actually just one floor in an old 4-story building. Other floors were private. The rooms are apparently built afterwards to accommodate hotel guests, so the bathrooms are separately built too (very narrow). Walls are very thin, you can hear everything. Hotel staff hardly speaks english. The hotel has no real reception (privately owned), the receptionist is there if she feels like it.

This is a most charming and quirky hotel, full of character in a typical Berlin house with wonderful original features. It is a bit like staying with a family, we loved it. It is located in a lovely leafy street with lots of excellent local restaurants. The hotel is within walking distance of excellent shops and transport. Would definitely recommend, it was a great experience.
