The fact the paying extra for the "superior lounge" access was almost not worth it. Besides the morning breakfast, trying to get snacks or something to drink after was not as easy at it seemed. Better off buying snacks and water else where.
Proximity to the Philharmonie
In the room was a bag with a message written on it stating that if we chose to do the "green" thing by choosing not to have the room cleaned they would put a gift in it. The gift was a creme biscuit, neither "green" nor a fair trade for room cleaning
This hotel was not close to the subway stops, which made it inconvenient. Otherwise, the hotel was fine.
Nice clean room and very good restaurants Good SPA facilities
The hotel is quite grand in its spacing and there's a degree of elegance about it that I did not expect. And unlike so many hotels where you follow the guidance on saving towels and bedding for environmental reasons; they actually listen to your request.
... but the down side there is thealso don't come in to check the mini bar or anything else in the room. And it's Germany, so all the Internet/wireless is stuck back in the Weimar Republic time. The steets surrounding the hotel are a bit depressing.
Everything was fine, nice interior, large room, clean and silent
Small problem with shower
My wife and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of staying at the Maratim Hotel Berlin. It was a five star hotel with ambience that oozed luxury. It was within walking distance of the city so it was perfect for a new visitor to wonderful city of Berlin.
Clean, roomy, heated bathroom floor, responsive helpful staff, toiletries good. Attractive furnishings , quiet in room
My half of bed was sagging,we could not turn off the heat so it was extremely dry.we wanted to open the window but there was a warning not to do so. However reception permitted it and that helped us to sleep better.
Appearance was good, reception was great. Hotel rooms were OK, upscale, but a bit old.
Location is a bit off.
Nice room at great price.
Last night heard loud band until 1 am!
Breakfast is expensive
I asked for early check in, the hotel asked for additional payment so I skiped. When I asked forbtge wifi, they refuse to provide as I didn't checked in yet. Far from tge center, not clean, uncomfortable pilows, poor service.
