Great location, very nice hotel-serviced apartment

The location is perfect. Easy access to many sights. Stadmitte U Bahn station at the doorstep. Walking distance to many historic sites and great neighborhoods. Many food options close by. Brauhaus in the complex (not in the hotel). The "hotel" has limited services and it is more of a serviced apartment setup. We discovered the mixed use complex was designed by the renowned Architect - JP Kleihues (notable buildings in the reconstructed Berlin and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago). We rented a Management Suite and it worked out wonderfully for our family of 3. It was a spacious (very spacious by european standards) two room suite with separate WC and bathroom. There is a great amount of built in storage for clothes and luggage. Our unit had a nice balcony accessible from the bedroom and the living room. The unit had a kitchenette with ample dishes, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. But with so many restaurant options, why cook at home?? We arrived in Berlin quite early in the morning and pleaded with the desk to let us have our room early, but no chance. We left our bags and set out to explore in a very jet lag state. Official check-in is 15.00 so don't expect to receive your room anytime before. The staff was kind enough to offer us the lounge to relax and wait for our room. We were briefed on all of the properties services and when we were escorted to our room, our luggage was already there. This property is a very good value and suited our needs perfectly.
