Weinhotel St. Stephanus

It was near to the vineyards for a nice walk. Free internet service.

We were received just as numbers and not as people. Straight forward, no careing. The room was small, the bathroom minimalistic. We had asked for a twin-bedded room, and got a room with two standard beds in a row after each other. When we complained we were told that this is the way it is in Germany! And certainly, the hotel had nothing like that we asked for.A simple walking-map, fre on most hotels, was 2.5 Euro. The hotel's restaurant (nice) had an excellent menu outside but inside it showed up to have avery limited menu on Wednesdays. The good thing was that we had a low-cost evening. Good service in the restaurant. The hotel's parking garage was almost impossible to enter and even worse to get out of. Parked finally on the municipal P.

The owner was great!!!! I left my credit card and she went out of her way to work with me to get it back to me.

The shower was just ok. The door kept opening and the water temp kept changing

-the rooms are are clean and simple, nothing special.

the reception isnt open 24-7.

The situation of the hotel was ideal. It was in a quiet area with views of the Mosel and lovely river walks and the river ferry station was also very close. It is situated within easy reach of the bustling Bernkastel. Breakfast was very good. We booked a vineyard view but was placed in a room overlooking the Mosel and we appreciated this much better view.
