The hotel was very close to the city center. Within walking distance to the BIC which it was the reason for staying there. Very convenient.
I got a nasty & rude message in my mobile from the manager as we were late coming back to the hotel. Our suitcases were in the "luggage room" and we couldn't access to them the first night. We only got to the hotel at 10.30pm. We never got told we had to pay in advance to have the room key. Also they would not allow us to pay individually even though we got charged 7% for paying with debit card.
Room was basically clean.
Very few rooms were en-suite and the ones that were were much more expensive. Breakfast cost extra (even though it was publicised as "Bed and Breakfast")and had to be taken in a local public house down the road!
we were able to sit in the lounge, for a quiet read, when we were not able to go uot when it was raining,
The street leading to the hotel is very narrow and could be hard to navigate if your car was a big sedan or SUV. The room was small but clean although the proprietor was very adamant that we not touch the extra bed in the room or she would charge us. It's a short walk to the shore which was nice for an evening stroll.
Beware that in small print only 5% charges are applicable on credit card payment. Staff were generally unfriendly, not helpfull and at times rude. Room was very small and won't call it double room as you hardly can move in it. On two mornings the house keeping woke us early morning by trying to enter room without knocking. Room was not serviced because we were told unless you won't be out of room by 10am the room won't be serviced. We were forced to leave exactly by half 9 on day of departure. I will say it was the worst hotel we ever stayed in.
