The room was beautifully furnished and loved the original features like the window shutters. The breakfast was 1st class. The bar area was very warm and inviting with very friendly staff at the bar. Close proximity to the station for Bath.
Shame the bar was closed Sunday Night. Saturday night xmas party kept us awake and didnt finish until midnight (but we didnt mind too much as it is xmas after all). The only real thing we found could be improved was heating in the bathroom. In this cold weather, the bathrooms were freezing.
Extremely comfortable bed, and lovely Egyptian cotton bedding. Nice old fashioned telephone in the room. Bar area very cosy and nice atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast.
Accommodation of a fussy guest!
The room assigned was excellent in the circumstances but there was little room to spread out.
Staff were brilliant. It was great being able to just walk downstairs for dinner. Bed and sheets were comfy. Plenty of parking. Everything was fine but nothing was really outstanding.
I thought it was a bit expensive for what it was. The breakfast was satisfactory but not really big enough. Heating isn't on a thermostat and wasn't on in the room before we got there so it was cold when we arrived and too hot in the middle of the night. On the night of our stay they had a Christmas party on below and the music was up loud till 12.
The staff were excellent and really couldn't have been more helpful or friendly.
