Great location and good accommodations
We loved the location, as you could walk to everything and it was a nice reasonable walk to the train station. The bed and bathroom were fine, and it was just the right size for 2 people. The view out the window was nice, and we weren't bothered by other guests or noise outside.
We had trouble getting in touch with the staff in order to check in. They sent us instructions via email, but since we didn't have access to internet we were pretty confused. They don't stay at the front desk all of the time, so you have to track down the staff at their other location. After the initial check in, the building was easy to access and the staff was friendly and helpful
The staff were very helpful and friendly ,the rooms were quirky in a good way and central to what we wanted to see.Free use of the internet in the lounge area
The idiot Tottenham supporter who decided to "sabotage" the internet so you could only get the clubs home page on it
delicious breakfast (w/ eggs & waffles), friendly cat by the fireplace. Artsy, clean, great location for the 1 or 2 day walking around the town visit. Fishtank in wall of room was pleasant diversion.
Construction noise across the street,
The welcome and the very homely lounge, with large fire, to sit and relax in after a days sightseeing
Very romantic and comfortable, the staff is helpful and friendly and is near to the centre and to the train staition. So nice.
Location was great, right in the centre of Bruges. Staff were always welcoming and did anything to ensure our stay was a success. Big breakfast to set you up for a day's sight seeing (in a city packed with interesting places to see). Great fire always going in the loiunge bar to welcome us back on a cool Autumn evening and the bedroom was pleasantly warm and welcoming too.
Steep staircase in annex to our (large) top floor bedroom which was challenging with a large suitcase but perhaps that comes with being in a old characterful heritage bulding but could be an issue for some older guests.
breakfast is good, free coffee available all day
after asking for a room to suit my partner who has MS they put us in a totally unsuitable room with access up a very steep and dangerous staircase. they did at least discount the cost but it did not help my partners discomfort
the uniqueness of the room, the view from our window, our room was large
The only negative would be the narrow stairs to get up to the room - it wasn't bad for us, but I was glad our suitcases weren't very heavy.
excellent hotel, very unique, great location and price
Sauna & jacuzzi facilities Very good breakfast
