Cabo San Lucas hotels near Cannery Beach

Cons: No phone or fridge. Hard to find a staff member for check in or check out

Cons: There wasn't a safe in the room for our use so we felt compelled to carry our passports and small valuables with us at all times. There was a bit of traffic noise at times from water delivery and medium size trucks but other guests farther back in the hotel said there rooms were very quiet. There was never enough noise to really bother my wife and I but some guests might be bothered.

Cons: Their lounge policy was offensive. They reserved about a hundred of the prime lounges (basically all which had an ocean view) for the "Vista Club" members. They remained empty and unused all day long but were not available for other guests. People were frustrated and angry about it. Ruined the good feelings about the hotel. I probably would not return because of it.

Cons: The location is a long way from downtown cabo but close to San Jose and the airport. When at full capacity the pool would be over crowded. It was fine during the week but closer to the weekends it was hard to find a chair.

Cons: Sad we didn't get to enjoy all the hotel had to offer because of the storm. We will be back

Cons: Listed in approx. order of importance: Restaurants serve almost all American cuisine - not what we want in Mexico - need to add some good / local / distinctive Mexican cuisine (not just ceviche)!! Has beach front, but surf is too strong to allow swimming, and not quite wide enough to allow laying out on beach. Lighting in room (kitchen area of studio) could be better. The piped in TV is a Canadian system, which is OK, but when you're paying top $$ for place that caters to Americans, an American TV system would be appreciated. Drink prices are a little high (though you don't go here for bargain prices :-)).

Cons: After paying for the hotel and airfare, and surprising my partner with the vacation, Amoma.com informs me that the hotel will not accept my reservation. I was forced to choose another hotel I was not happy with. That was FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.

Cons: Check in staff were very SLOW. They told us, and the couple that we were traveling with, that we needed two different rooms during our stay, offering an upgrade for the second night, but that would leave us without a room for several hours (10am check in, 3pm check in), which was a hassle as we had a 3pm wedding to attend. They were able to fix it but I spent >1 hour dealing with staff about the issue.

Cons: Overall, I thought the food was pretty bad. I'm not a picky water, but I thought the quality was terrible. In general, the staff works really hard, but on several occasions I saw people who were preparing food wipe their sweat off their face and cheeks because it was so hot out. I have to thinkanafent should get them a low-blowing fan so they could practice better, more sanitary procedures when making food. It was pretty gross. Also, the number of restaurants and food options was grossly overstated both when booking and upon check-in. All in all, breakfast and appetizers by the pool were the best as far as quality. I also thought a few staffers were really lazy. At dinner, I asked out waiter if the restaurant seeded guacamole and chips. He said no. But because I had seen so many people order guac and chips throughout the day. I thought it must be a staple, so I asked another waiter who said he'd get it for us, no problem. Pretty frustrating. Room service we also AWFUL. Not only was the food horrible (pizza and Caesar salad), but it literally took more than an hour both nights we ordered. When my girlfriend called to check on the status about 30mins in, the man who answered said the food was on its way. When we called back 20minutes later, the man said they mixed up our order. When we called a third time, he said the waiter was on his way. It's not that an hour is awful if they are busy (which they were not; the hotel was pretty sleepy). It's the fact that when we called they kept telling us something different. I even asked the man to be honest so we knew what to expect instead of switching stories. He didn't get it, nor did he apologize. Our remote also didn't work and when we called at 10:15pm to have it fixed, the desk said someone would be right up. At 1:15am, someone actually knocked on our door to fix it!! Crazy to take three hours and crazy they'd think that was ok. All in all, I actually think this place is ok for 20-somethings who want to take a trip on the cheap and who don't really care about food. But if you're looking for something simple but on the nicer end, don't stay here.

Cons: I believe the resort is short staffed. The service was not very fast. Our meals at night ungodly slow and the pool service was incredibly slow. Not that I was there to eat eat and drink all the time but to wait over 1 hour for something uncalled for. It seemed as though the staff catered to their time share people first.

Cons: Music played until late night despite bar area not having many guests. Rooms were very average for the price. Air conditioning thermostat was broken and wouldn't turn off automatically.

Cons: Good is ok at the buffet. But the restruants are great. Steakhouse is the BEST!

Cons: The frat boys and sorority girls running around inebriated adds to the entertainment but can get old. It doesn't last long though seeing as after about 20min of drinking they can't handle their liquor anymore and seem to disappear for the rest of the night.(maybe somewhere into the toilet). Overall no one bothered anyone and was always friendly. I never heard or saw any fights. In Mexico people seem to want a tip just for saying hello to you. So choose wisely don't be afraid to look cheap. Yea they're poor but so are you Wink wink. Blow and Mary J are abundant. Not in the resort itself but surrounding beaches. Up to you if that's good or bad. Tons of pos timeshare cockroaches. Stomp them out and kill them before they get to you. The resort will actually give you a lecture on how to avoid them, so listen closely.. Unless you like throwing your money away for the next 15-30years on something you prob will never use up to you. Overall nothing bad to say about the resort itself. It's guarded and gated and that is for a reason. Enjoy.

Cons: The room we had needs to be revamped . The television is old, the bed was uncomfortable, sheets looked old and felt rough, the bathroom towels felt like sand paper

Cons: The food was mediocre, the buffet seemed to have the most selections and the dining restaurants were ok - steakhouse has a great view if you can get in early to see the sunset.
